My doctor is mostly happy with my blood sugar. I've only had a couple of higher scores and one of those was understandable (see the grapes comment above).

Also, I only gained 1 pound in the last week, even after eating all day Sunday. This is good! And I had NO ketones in my urine! :-)

I have no idea why my dinner score was so high Tuesday night. I had 1½ filets of fish from Long John Silvers. I checked the carb count online and it should have been fine. I did have a small glass of chocolate milk afterward. I made it with Hershey Syrup, but I usually make it with NesQuik. Maybe that made the difference. I dunno.

I'm much happier with my numbers this time. I guess I'm getting a handle on the stress. I'm basically not paying quite as much attention to my testing. I'm not testing too often. I'm just making sure to watch my carb intake and compare it with my chart for meals. I had PB&J for lunch today because I figured out it was WELL within my lunch limit.

I had an appointment with the Diabetes Center on Friday. Since then, I've been keeping a written diary of my Blood Sugar. I have to email it to them on Mondays and Thursdays. So... here it is:

My fasting score was bad the next morning. I was really baffled and upset by this.

2 hours after... food - 135

I had trail mix at 7:20. I took out the 20 M&Ms which dropped the carb count down to 16.

Then at 8:20 I had an omelet with cheese and bell peppers. The meal came with hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. I am not a big fan of hash browns anyway, but I was sure craving biscuits and gravy! So... I ate them. My levels have been within my doctor's limits, so I went for it. And now I'm 5 points high. Alright, so if I just don't do this very often, everything should be fine.

I'm looking forward to going to the Diabetes Center today, but I'm also dreading it. I don't want stricter guidelines... but I'm prepared to do what I need to do for the health of Sasha and I.

I had 2 kolachis with most of the bread removed and a small glass of milk. About 1½ hours later, I started feeling sleepy. As usual. I plan to mention this to the Diabetes Center when I go today.

Fasting - 96

Last night I had a cheeseburger (with no bread) + lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, and mayo. It was not very good by the time I got it home and off the bread. I set my alarm wrong, so I missed my time for checking my blood sugar. And I think I was hungry again by bedtime, but sleep was more important at the time.

Oh a while before dinner I had some string cheese and a few grapes. Yum!

I had cashews around 7. Then for lunch I had Spicy Chicken and Potato Munchers from the local gas station. I also had a Yoohoo. I checked the carbs first and figured I could splurge... only I didn't check to see that it was TWO servings! Oops. I had way too many carbs at lunch, but I really enjoyed my Yoohoo. And it looks like I still came in within the proper range. We'll see what sort of strict guidelines the Diabetes Center gives me tomorrow.

I had cereal and milk. And I forgot to take my vitamin. Crap.

Anyway, I didn't set my alarm, I was just trying to remember to check it around 5:30... I'm a little late. Looks like I was doing alright anyway. I considered not testing it since the cereal has proven itself to not jack up my sugar.

Fasting - 91

Last night I had Butter and Herb chicken with corn on the side. It was all quite good. I was really curious how the corn would effect me, but I was far too tired to stay up to test. My mother has said I shouldn't stay up to test when I need rest so much. With my level being so low this morning, I'm sure I did fine.

Got up at 3:00 (as opposed to 2:45 like I've been trying to do). I did the blood sugar thing, ate breakfast, and got ready for work. Worked 4-9:30 and came home for lunch. Did the blood sugar thing and ate. Got chicken out to thaw. Went back to work until 1:00. Came home, walked the 1-2 blocks to my motorcycle to drive it home and park it in my garage, now that I have one! The bike wouldn't start. Fuck. Cut fat off the chicken and marinade it.

Walk home, brush off the bike thing - don't let it upset me. I hang clothes that have been sitting in the laundry bag for a couple of days. Put several boxes into the closet that only need to be stored (photos, stationery, and my shoe shine kit). My mom shows up, so I put my clothes on and head to the Goodwill with her to look for maternity clothes. I tried on a TON of things. Left with 1 pair of maternity shorts, 1 dress, and 2 pairs of jammie pants. I do love jammie pants!

Came home, sorted dirty laundry and drove to Mom's to start a load of laundry and have a smoothie. Visited with Mom & Serena while Serena made smoothies (strawberries, bananas, and spinach with agave and OJ?) and while we drank them. They were the best batch yet! SOOO yummy!

Drove home and sat for close to an hour (did a little birth class homework with Elmo) before starting on dinner. I nearly fell asleep a few times. I also did some pelvic rocks (one of my Bradley Birth exercises) before getting up. Cooked butter & herb chicken and steamed corn for dinner. It was all delish! Sat for a little bit after dinner before I finally dragged myself off the floor to do the dishes (after emptying the dishwasher). Dishwasher is now loaded and the stove top is clean again. I'm already considering tomorrow's dinner dish. I may make BBQ chicken, we shall see.

All that... and 7 months pregnant. I am so fucking tired. Ugh. I still need to fetch my laundry before I go to bed. Sigh.

Tomorrow we see Dr. Fumia for the 4D U/S. I hope he sends pics home!

I had the last leftover teryaki chicken and asparagus on the side. Then I had a glass of chocolate milk. So I'm VERY happy with my results! Now I just need to keep myself from getting all of my carbs from sweets. Considering I picked the M&Ms out of my trail mix today, I think I can manage that!

I had a package of Karr's Trail Mix for 8g of protein and 26g of carb, except I didn't eat the 16 M&Ms in the package, which cuts the carb count in half.
