I've heard warnings that nursing your baby to sleep or walking them to sleep can spoil them and they won't sleep any other way. I don't walk Sasha to sleep very often, but I do occasionally. I used to do it all the time. She does nurse herself to sleep a lot, though.
And yet, twice now in the last few days she has simply gone to sleep. All by herself. No pacifier. Oh wait, three times! Twice in the last 12 hours! I'm quite impressed. While I certainly don't feel I'm "spoiling" her, I didn't expect her to be capable of going to sleep on her own so soon.
