Food & Play Area
Aug. 2nd, 2010 09:25 pmTonight Sasha tried YoBaby 3-in-1 meals yogurt + fruit + veggies. It is full fat yogurt with apple and sweet potato puree in it. She liked it, but she kept biting the spoon. I want to let her feed herself, but I find lately I rarely have the patience to let her have yogurt on her own. Hopefully that will change as we settle into the new place.
Meanwhile, Daddy has been packing a lot of stuff around the house. Today he got the rest of the low shelves of DVDs packed. This meant he could move the playpen (which doubles as a gate) and allow more play area for Sasha. Eventually she even got into the bottom shelves. She can't figure out how to get out, though, so she gets upset. They are a slight step up from the floor.
Our carpet is damaged by the previous resident's pet urine. The owner was not aware and it is one of the reasons we have chosen to move. Sasha usually has a quilt for a floor in her play area. Since she has more space, I've pulled up the quilt. It wasn't covering the entire area anyway. However, I like to nibble Sasha's toes... and I notice they now smell like dog piss. Ugh. So disgusting. Thankfully she very rarely eats her own toes, but she does put her hands on the floor as well. We're moving on Saturday. I look forward to have a downstairs-only home with hopefully nice flooring. I'm hoping they don't put new carpet in because that is bad for babies, too.
