Health Update & General Update

msjorjeI took Elmo to see the Urologist Friday morning. He reviewed the CT Scan reports, but never even peeked at the films themselves. He confirmed that there is another, smaller, stone in his left kidney. Today my Dad told me he has 5 in one kidney and 2 in the other. Anyway... the one that is currently giving Elmo trouble is 3mm. That is too small to warrant blasting it or any other sort of procedure. The doctor thinks it is hurting so much because it has reached the bottom of the tube from the kidney to the bladder. The tube funnels here, getting smaller. That is why it hurts so much. He figured he'll be passing it very soon. Meanwhile... Elmo is in pain. The doc gave him a scrip for another / different pain pill.
Friday afternoon, I went to Sam's with my mother. I was feeling fairly energetic, considering the week I'd had so far. Serena just wasn't feeling up to the shopping trip. Funny, since I was originally going to go with her because Mom wasn't going to be up for it. The trip got postponed a bit, though, and it wound up being Mom & I. I overdid it. By the time we left, my back was hurting so bad. I was having trouble walking upright.
Today I did 2 loads of dishes (I don't normally do the dishes, so this was exciting stuff). I cleaned out the fridge and reorganized the freezer! I also re-discovered StumbleUpon today. That was cool.
Today I went to Mom's place to split up a bunch of the food she got. I had ravioli with them. Serena & I played her first game of Clue. Serena made custard, which we had over Pound Cake I picked up on the way there. I also got 2 loads of laundry started. Then I gathered up my groceries and headed to my Dad's to make a car payment and get a spare tire. I came home and cut up my fresh vegetables. Elmo is resting (read: asleep) on the couch. I sure hope he passes this stone tomorrow! I want life to return to normal. I worry.
