**Father's Day - no, Elmo did not get to see his daughter on Father's Day. We had a fine day anyway.
**Recently - our power went out for a little while. We just left the apartment for cooler errands. We went to Mom's and she let him have their birthday gift early. He got a new "desk" (read: camping) chair. It seems to be fitting him quite nicely!
**Tuesday, June 23rd - Veronica and I were checking the mail when the baby started moving. I put Veronica's hand on my belly and she FINALLY felt her baby sister wiggle!! Fizzo also delivered our water dispenser and first bottle of water. This should save us some money since we're both drinking so much water these days!
**Thursday, June 25th - this was Elmo's birthday. We had a huge pizza and cheesecake (the exact one he wanted for his birthday cake), thanks to my dad. We sat around and watched movies together. I know we do a lot of that, but it is what he likes so it was the perfect way to spend his birthday. The only thing better would have been to go to a theater and see a new movie, but times is tight right now. At least he got pressies!
Bad news from Thursday - our water heater quit. It just quit.
**Friday, June 26th - After a long day of work, I couldn't seem to doze until it was too late for napping. I went with my Girl Scout troop for a sleepover at the Drillers Stadium. The game was hot and the girls were bored by it. The fireworks show was good. I was thrilled to get to walk on the ballfield barefoot, though the grass wasn't quite as soft as I'd expected. It would have been if it weren't so short!
**Saturday, June 27th - Veronica woke up crabby at the ballpark!! Once we got home, she went right back to bed! She slept for about 5 hours or so! I barely dozed, but I definitely needed the rest. Eventually I did nap for 1½ hours before Veronica and I headed to my mom's place. We did laundry and took Serena shopping. We got a present from Veronica for Elmo - I was glad to see that she wanted to get him a present. We also picked out gifts for Mom as her birthday is TODAY! Serena came home with us for a sleepover.
**Sunday, June 28th - Serena and I went to take care of the animals, then returned to the apartment. We watched movies and I dozed. Mom got a lead on a condo for rent, available immediately... that I could come view today! So I called the woman and made arrangements. I had pretty much given up on getting out of this apartment before the baby arrives, but this was new hope! Mom sat in the garage there and visited with the woman while Serena, Veronica and I checked the place over and took pics. Then I filled out an application! Once we got back to Mom's place, I went over some paperwork with Mom regarding some side work for me.
By the time I got home Sunday, I was so exhausted from the weekend and the excitement that I was a bit crabby. Elmo and I seemed to be nipping at each other just a bit. I just so badly wanted to coexist with him for a while. So we coexisted until I had to go to bed before beginning another work week.
**Monday, June 29th - Work wasn't too bad, wasn't even that hot. I got to get a bunch of reports caught up that were over a month behind! I did, however, have several nosebleeds through the day. These are a pretty normal side effect of pregnancy. I left work a litle early and went to take care of some more paperwork for the side job. I spent some time visiting with Mom. It was nice quiet time. As much as I wanted to get home, I just didn't want to move. I was starving, too. I finally did go home and call the apartment office again about our water heater. They did send someone out... he then fetched a part. Then he burned himself trying to light the thing manually. Then he said they would have to order an igniter, so that should take about a day. Oh.joy...of.fucking.joys. I was tired and this was depressing news. I'd been excited early in the day, then has some lows and the drop just did not settle well at all. I was on the verge of tears for probably nearly an hour. Finally my eyes just started leaking. I couldn't hold back anymore. I leaked a little... sobbed a tiny bit... then washed my face and felt a bit better for it. Then the woman called with good news on the condo. I was already in a funk, though, and tired.
**TODAY - I overslept by hitting snooze for 45 minutes! I managed to make it to work just 10 minutes late. The upcoming move... seems quite the daunting task! I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed right now by bills, upcoming bills, and the move itself. At the same time, though, I am so very happy about moving our little family into our new home!
