My phone is like my lifeline. I text with my husband when I'm not at home. I keep in touch with my family. I just use it too much to let go. I am not sure I could ever have enough ♪ music ♫ in my life, it is great to have as background noise for ANYthing (though I have an appreciation for quiet, too). Television, however... I think too many people schedule their lives around television. I guess it has gotten better since Tivo, so people can watch shows at their own convenience (though I don't have Tivo).
I don't want to get stuck watching any weekly shows. I don't want the disappointment if I miss it (which happened with Big Brother) and I don't want to feel tied to my home at a particular time for something that seems to trivial. Besides, my husband is a bit of a TV-junkie (almost as bad as movies), so it is the one thing from which I could appreciate a break. There is no way we'd (he'd) make it a week!
